Jamaica, Hibiscus tea, Roselle - Hibiscus sabdariffa

As you can see in the picture, there are big beautiful flowers similar to a hollyhock or decorative hibiscus.

These short lived flowers bloom and then we use the bright red calyx (think green part of the strawberry) to make the delicious vitamin C rich tea.

This abundant plant has edible flowers, leaves and a tasty calyx.
The calyx is used for the delightful flor de jamaica tea (sometimes branded cranberry hibiscus), and can also be used as a food coloring.

Every part of this plant is valuable:
bast fiber is made from the stem
leaves are cooked in some cuisines,
flowers are delicious and succulent in salads
calyx can be used for infusions or food coloring.

In herbal medicine, this infusion is delightful for heart health.
