Ti Plant, Palm Lily, Cabbage Palm - Cordyline fruticosa

This plant shoots many stems (reminiscient to me of the many dracaena that thrive here as well). It loves the climate here and will do well in full sun or quite a bit of shade. I love the pink to add some color to the garden and the flowers are delightful.
I've only read that it has traditional medicine uses and possibly even edible but I am not clear on what part. Please let me know if you eat or make medicine with this.
