Pineapple - Ananas comosus

The fractal nature of it delights my sense of life and patterns.
Years ago, when my pineapples fruited, they were small and not very sweet and then mama would die. As my ecosystem matured, now my mamas live and each subsequent pineapple feels bigger and sweeter.
This makes some sense to me since bromeliads entire water harvesting strategy involves catching water from the air so a canopied mature ecosystem fits its design significantly better.
