Sensory Awarness Meditation
in the Garden

Let's prepare our hearts for Thursday's day of thanks by connecting in the garden to nature and our senses.

We will gather on Wednesday, November 24th at 9:00 a.m. for a tour plus meditation in the garden. A simple indian meal with garden ingredients will be served at 11:00.

Sensory meditation will include:

Seeing many of the flowers posted this past week

Smells abound: cinnamon, allspice, citronella, myrrh, copal, crinum lily, rue and many more

We can taste: root beer flavor in hoja santa, the tender leaves of baobab and the holiness in tulsi basil

as we listen to the birds and the wind

touch the soil, the earth while perhaps tickled by some feathery soft grasses or the chenille plant

as we turn our gaze inward and allow the rainbow of nature's bounty into our hearts.

Meal will include:

Rice and lentils spiced with garden lemongrass, kaffir lime and curry leaves

A side salad of green papaya and/or jicima

Creamy passion fruit sherbet for dessert.
