Do you need some cinnamon for your holiday baking? Would you like to turn the bark of a tree into a spice for your granola or eggnog? Come and learn and participate in our cinnamon harvesting and take some fresh cinnamon home for holiday cheer.
This hands-on experience entails scraping the outer bark and then carefully peeling the inner bark off the core wood to get one of the most common spices used around the world.
We will also get to drink some cinnamon leaf tea.
Where? Pescadero Permaculture Paradise
When? 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 21st in Pescadero with a short tour of my perennial polycultural food and medicine forest and then about an hour processing the cinnamon.
