Class on Plant Propagation on February 1st

Celebrate the new moon and the Chinese New Year with a class on Plant Propagation this Tuesday February 1st.

The new moon synchronistically is falling on the Celtic Birth of Spring: Imbolc or St. Brigid's Day which has meandered into Groundhog's Day. The new moon is an opportunity to begin again and start new life.

The day will begin with Liam demonstrating good technique for taking cuttings of our many plants. We will mostly do hands on practice of propagation with cuttings and root division (and gathering seeds from the land). Together, we will also explore and discuss ground layering, air layering, and grafting.

Everyone will be given a half dozen bags when they arrive and can talk to Liam during the tour about good methods for propagating our many plants (especially division and cuttings).

You can leave this class with some seeds, cuttings and divisions to grow on your own. Hopefully you will also leave with some new awareness around growing life along with the memories of a playful morning at our perennial polycultural food and medicine forest.

Class runs 8:30 a.m. - 11:00. Donation of 200-500 pesos appreciated. Entire class is outside with masking optional. Please reserve your spot at: itsallgoodliam@gmail.com
